Get ready for the 10th annual Bikes to Blooms wildflower event, on Saturday, May 9th.

This year, Bikes to Blooms is hosted in partnership with the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Land Management, Walama Restoration Project, Native Plant Society of Oregon, Eugene Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association, Willamette Resources and Educational Network (WREN), and Dorena Genetic Resource Center.

What to Expect: Discover spring wildflowers in bloom at Bikes to Blooms on Saturday, May 9th from 8 am-1 pm at Bake Stewart Park! With a local expert as your guide, you’re invited to explore a rare, remnant prairie and oak habitat along Dorena Lake and the Row River bike trail. Bikes to Blooms is a free event featuring activities for families and nature enthusiasts, including a morning bird walk, guided and self-guided wildflower walks, and educational booths hosted by local organizations.

Travel southeast of Cottage Grove and experience this ecologically valuable and scenic landscape and see the southern Willamette Valley in bloom. May is bike month! This a great opportunity to enjoy the Row River bike path, and parking is limited, so consider bringing your wheels!

This is a sensitive environment, especially during the wildflower season. Please be mindful that any pets present need to be on-leash and well-behaved at all times.

Where:  Bake Stewart Park, Row River Rd., Dorena (12 mi. east of Cottage Grove)

Event Schedule (Rain or Shine):

8 am – Guided Bird Walk

9 am – 1 pm – Booths Open & Self-Guided Wildflower Walk Materials Available

10 am, 11 am, & 12 pm – Guided Wildflower Walks
