Join the Coast Fork Birders at Willamalane’s Dorris Ranch for a beginner-friendly bird walk. Alison Center will lead the group in a survey to help track the impact on bird species as the old hazelnut orchards are restored to Oregon white oak habitat in a habitat improvement project implemented by the Middle Fork Willamette Watershed Council. Meet at the restrooms (first left after entrance) located at the Middle Fork Path trailhead. Dress for the weather and bring your own water, snack, binoculars and bird identification book. The walk will be on the paved path with potential to explore off-trail areas. For more information visit the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council at coastfork.org. RSVP to maggie@coastfork.org or call the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council office (541) 767-9717.
