October BIG Day with Coast Fork Birders

October 8, 2022 @ 8:00 am – 11:00 pm –

Get outside with Coast Fork Birders on October 8th for a guided bird walk to celebrate October BIG day! October Big Day is a chance for people around the world to get out and count, enjoy, and celebrate birds! In this 24-hour period participants add their bird-sightings to iNaturalist or eBird contributing to our knowledge of birds and our ability to help conserve them.

Join us at Row River Nature Park for a walk led by Grace Fowler-Gore for participants of all birding abilities. We will meet at the kiosk near the weigh station. The first half of the walk will be on paved surfaces providing accessibility to wheelchairs and those with limited mobility. Don’t have 3 hours? No worries, stay as little or long as you like! This is a great opportunity for new birders to learn how to identify a number of our local birds. Binoculars are helpful, but not required to enjoy this outing. No dogs, please.
