Join CFWWC and special guests Yuta Nakamura and Ronan Hall in November for a screening of Mr. Nakamura’s short film, Forest Trail: A Story of Gentle Forestry in Hokkaido.

Here’s what Yuta has to say about about his film:

As a Hokkaido-based photographer and film maker, I spend most of my time outside capturing the activities of foresters and skiers in the northern forests and
mountains. Over the last four years, I’ve been documenting the activities of two foresters who are the main focus of this short film. These men and others are trying to create a more gentle and thoughtful approach to forest management here in northern Japan. I made this film to share their passion and their story with people around the world.

CFWWC hosts these family-friendly events on the fourth Tuesday of most months from 5-7pm at the Axe & Fiddle, 657 E. Main St. in Cottage Grove.

Events begin with informal socializing, trivia, and updates about the watershed and watershed council. The Science on Tap presentation begins at 6pm.

The event is free to the public, with a $5 donation suggested.

Just a reminder that thanks to the generous efforts of the talented Jim Lockhart, you can revisit past presentations or catch up if you weren’t able to make it in person.
