Near Cottage Grove
This field workshop intends to help build connections among neighbors and interested community members in preparation for burning a 14-acre meadow at Native Oaks Ridge just east of Cottage Grove at the end of Bryson-Sears Road. It’s an opportunity for people new to prescribed burning and people with years of experience to build a shared understanding of prescribed fire techniques and approaches to help prepare for burning together. This field workshop won’t include live fire. We will walk through a prescribed burn scenario together. Attendees will be able to sign up to participate on burn day.
The workshop is limited to 30 people. Please sign up to let us know you’re planning to attend and we will send you additional information to prepare for the day.
