 anding of cultural burning\, fire effects monitoring and oak-prairie ecolo
 gy\, fire lighting techniques\, engine operations\, and radio communicatio
 ns. \n\nSaturday\, August 23\, 2025\n9:00 am - 3:00 pm\nNear Cottage Grov
 e\n\n\n\nThis field workshop intends to help build connections among neigh
 bors and interested community members in preparation for burning a 14-acre
  meadow at Native Oaks Ridge just east of Cottage Grove at the end of Brys
 on-Sears Road. It's an opportunity for people new to prescribed burning an
 d people with years of experience to build a shared understanding of presc
 ribed fire techniques and approaches to help prepare for burning together.
  This field workshop won't include live fire. We will walk through a presc
 ribed burn scenario together. Attendees will be able to sign up to partici
 pate on burn day.\n\n\nThe workshop is limited to 30 people. Please sign u
