Your favorite family-friendly informative public meeting series returns, bringing a stellar line-up of guest speakers on a variety of fascinating topics!
Our February event will feature Chandra LeGue, author of Oregon’s Ancient Forests: A Hiking Guide. This talk will help connect you to ancient forests nearby, explore what makes them so special, and discuss the changes and challenges they experience over time (both natural and unnatural).
Chandra is Oregon Wild’s Senior Conservation Advocate, and she has been focused on public forest policy, and community engagement and education on this topic for the past 20 years.
We host these family-friendly events on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 5-7pm at the Axe & Fiddle, 657 E. Main Street in Cottage Grove.
Events begin with informal socializing, trivia, and updates about the watershed and watershed council. The Science on Tap presentation begins at 6pm. The event is free to the public, with a $5 donation suggested.
