Saturday, June 17, 8 AM – 3 PM
The Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council (CFWWC) and Willamette Water Ouzels invite the community to join the annual clean-up float of the Row and Coast Fork Willamette Rivers. Join us for the first Water Ouzel Clean-Up Float since 2019! Collect trash, catch a glimpse of wildlife, and enjoy the landscape while helping to improve our local river conditions. The float covers six river miles starting at the Row River boat launch and ending at Lynx Hollow State Park. If you have a boat, paddling skills, and all the required gear, we welcome you to join us!
The event is free for all ages and open to the public. Participants must provide their own watercraft, paddles, life jacket, safety whistle, drinking water, snacks, and any other personal gear. We will be meeting at the Row River Nature Park boat launch, located at 33301 Row River Road, Cottage Grove, at 8 am. Shuttle arrangements to Lynx Hollow State Park will be available if needed. Lynx Hollow State Park is located at 80998 Davisson Road, Creswell (Saginaw). Please note that Lynx Hollow State Park vehicle access will only be available for the morning car shuttle and at approximately 3 pm when the Clean Up Float is complete. All non-motorized watercrafts greater than ten feet in length are required by the State of Oregon to have an invasive species permit.
For questions and registration contact Doug Garletts at 541-315-1604, or email fluvialmonkey@yahoo.com. Please leave your name, phone number, number of people in your party, gear status, and ages of any children coming along.
